Love

The Love That Uplifts

"They will know you're my disciples by this, that you love one another."

— IESUS CHRIST

What Is Love?

Love is the living force that Iesus described — the kind that identifies his people. It is not merely a feeling, nor a sentiment. It is the cooperation of people in uplifting one another.

To understand Iesus Christ is to understand what happens when human beings dedicate themselves to raising each other up. That is the Christ. That is Love.

✝️

Iesus Christ as Cooperation

We understand Iesus Christ as the cooperation of people in uplifting one another. His name is the name of what we do together when we lift each other.

❤️

Love That Is Known by Its Works

They will know you're my disciples by this — not by what you profess, not by doctrine alone, but by this: that you love one another.

🕊️

Charity Comes First

No thing qualifies for love before charity. Before any theology, any argument, any qualification — we give. We serve. We feed. We lift.

🤝

Uplifting at No One's Expense

Our Love does not diminish anyone to elevate another. What can be greater than our love for one another? This is the question we live by.

"What can be greater than our love for one another?"

— THE MOTTO OF THE KREWE OF GOOD JOUJOUX

"Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually."

— 1 CORINTHIANS 12:27

You have arrived, my distant friend
At the gate of a Bibliokepo
Rocked on the knee of a bald cypress tree
Suckling on de bayou di beppo

You might be alarmed by the words that you find
In the folds of the room that you enter
So hop in the chat or the forum if you please
And teach me something about dis-ease

In your friendship or anger, come tickle and tease
Or in truth, look with me to the center
